The recorder 1 part is to be played by the teacher, or an advancedstudent (and can be played on the flute, or piano, or violin). The recorder 2 and 3 parts are to be played by the students. Recorder Digits is a Windows 9x/NT/ME/2000 program designed to display and document recorder fingerings.
In default mode, it displays standard and alternate fingerings for alto, soprano/tenor, and bass recorders. It was developed by Richard Hureau.
The program also has the ability to Load external fingering files. Because of this, the program is not limited to displaying only the fingerings that are built-in. It gives any user the ability to change the fingerings that the program displays. Additionally, it is hoped that people will create fingering files and distribute them for use with the program. For example, a person could create a file with the fingerings specific to a particular model of recorder.
