Adam Clark

Adam Clark was born on November 19, 1982 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He graduated from Dexter High School on May 20, 2001 and is currently attending Three Rivers Community College, majoring in instrumental music education. Until his graduation, Adam was a member of every instrumental music ensemble at Dexter High School. He played in the all-county band for six years, taking the high-profile first chair two years in a row. He was lead trumpet in the D.H.S. Jazz Band his senior year, and he won two outstanding soloist awards for his performance on the flugelhorn in the ballad "My Romance" at the North County and Cape Girardeau Jazz Festivals, respectively. Adam was awarded the national John Philip Sousa Band Award, as well as the school faculty band award.

In his senior year, he was given the opportunity to gain some invaluable teaching experience by working with a group of beginning trumpet students in the sixth grade. He worked with the students from January to May of 2001, and loved every minute of it.
